What is Zubhub
ZubHub is a free web platform that expands access to low-cost creative learning and collaboration opportunities globally to children in underserved communities.
It is available for custom use for your school, library, hackerspace, or educational organization. It can be hosted in low or no internet bandwidth locations to create a small virtual hub. These hubs can be interconnected to form an extensive distributed creative education network. You can think of it as Mastodon social network but specifically intended for showcasing and collaborating on creative educational projects. Or maybe like Hackaday.io, but for children 😃
What is my role during the internship
During the Outreachy internship,I am required to build a mobile application for Zubhub. On this app, users will be able
- Create an account
- Login
- View projects posted by other users
- Post their own projects
- Comment on projects, like and bookmark these projects
- View their settings and modify their account settings
What makes me most excited to work on your project?
What makes me most excited to work on this project is the fact am working on it from start to finish in an agile manner and following software development life cycle processes. From brainstorming on idea conception, bring out mockups and design these mockups, building the complete UI, consuming the API and deploying to google playstore. Having to work and communite with mentors and learn new things during the process.
